Refund & Cancellation Policy

Overview

MMaintenance offers two ways to access exports: a once-off payment of R149 per schedule, or the Legal Professional Plan subscription at R499/mo for unlimited exports. Creating and viewing schedules is always free. This policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and subscriptions are handled.

Per-Schedule Exports

Each once-off payment unlocks export access for a single schedule. Once unlocked, you can download your schedule as a court-ready Excel spreadsheet (with live formulas) or a formatted PDF document as many times as you need.

Legal Professional Plan (Subscription)

The Legal Professional Plan is a monthly subscription at R499/mo designed for attorneys and family law practices. It includes:

Unlimited schedule exports (Excel, PDF, child cost, income apportionment)
Firm branding on all exports (logo, name, contact details)
Client management dashboard
Bulk ZIP export for court bundles
Court document generation (Rule 43 affidavit, Form J101)

The subscription is billed monthly via Paystack. You can cancel at any time from your Account Settings page.

Refund Policy

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis under the following conditions:

Per-Schedule Exports

Eligible for Refund

Technical issues prevented you from downloading your exports
You were charged more than once for the same schedule
The exported document contains errors caused by our system
Payment was processed but the schedule was not unlocked

Not Eligible for Refund

You changed your mind after successfully downloading exports
Incorrect data was entered by you into the schedule
You no longer need the maintenance schedule

Legal Professional Plan

Eligible for Refund

You were charged after cancelling your subscription before the billing date
You were double-charged for the same billing period
A technical issue prevented you from accessing subscription features during the billing period

Not Eligible for Refund

You used the subscription during the billing period and want a refund for the remainder
You forgot to cancel before the next billing cycle
You no longer need the Legal Professional features

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at admin@mmaintenance.co.za with the following details:

Your registered email address
The schedule name or reference
The reason for your refund request
Any screenshots showing the issue (if applicable)

Refund Processing

We will review your request and respond within 2 business days
Approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days
Refunds are issued to the original payment method via our payment provider, Paystack
Once refunded, export access for that schedule will be revoked

Subscription Cancellation

You can cancel your Legal Professional Plan at any time from your Account Settings page. When you cancel:

You retain access to all subscription features until the end of your current billing period
No further charges will be made after cancellation
Your account will revert to the free tier when the billing period ends
Schedules you created remain accessible - only export and professional features are affected
Client data and firm settings are preserved if you resubscribe later

For per-schedule purchases, there is nothing to cancel. Each is a once-off payment with no recurring charges.

Account Deletion

If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, you can do so from your Account Settings page. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All schedules, client data, firm settings, and any previously purchased export access will be permanently removed. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it before deleting your account.
