Going through a divorce or separation? MMaintenance applies the legally prescribed apportionment formula to generate a court-ready maintenance schedule in minutes. Upload your bank statement, let AI extract your expenses, and download your XLSX or PDF - ready for your attorney or the court.
Simple Process
A simple step-by-step wizard guides you through building your maintenance schedule.
Tell us about your household - how many adults and children live together. We calculate the legal apportionment portions automatically.
Enter your monthly expenses by category - housing, transport, education, medical, and more. Each amount is split using the legal formula in real time.
Review your complete schedule and download a professional court-ready XLSX spreadsheet or PDF report, ready for submission.
Skip the manual data entry. Upload a PDF or CSV bank statement and our AI will read every transaction, identify recurring monthly expenses, and automatically categorise them into your maintenance schedule.
PDF or CSV from any South African bank - FNB, Standard Bank, Absa, Nedbank, Capitec, and more.
AI recognises Woolworths as groceries, Engen as fuel, Discovery as medical aid - no manual mapping needed.
Review every extracted item before it's added. Change categories, deselect one-off purchases, and approve only what belongs on your schedule.
The Formula
South African family courts use a standard formula to divide shared household expenses:
1 adult and 2 minor children = 4 total portions (1×2 + 2×1). If rent is R12,000/month, each portion is R3,000. Your share (2 portions) = R6,000. Each child's share (1 portion) = R3,000.
2 adults and 4 minor children = 8 total portions (2×2 + 4×1). If rent is R12,000/month, each portion is R1,500. Your share (2 portions) = R3,000. Each child's share (1 portion) = R1,500.
